The DAS labs code of conduct is a list of basic rules that you MUST obey in ALL of the DAS laboratories. These are the basic rules of the labs.


Important Please read:

During August and September, when visitors to the connect2 store are very low, it is advisable to contact the loans desk to ensure there is a member of staff available to meet you. We are usually able to accommodate the return of equipment on other days by prior arrangement.

Please ensure you only book equipment that is safe to use for the activity you are undertaking. This means you have an up-to-date risk assessment that covers both the equipment you are using and how you are using it.


  • Please be aware that bookings and renewals will not be taken over the phone or via voicemail.
  • Availability for any item can be found by clicking on the item description link.
  • Collection and return of AV equipment are only during opening hours.
  • AV Bookings will be canceled 12hrs after the due collection time, so please make sure you book correctly and collect promptly.
  • Please return AV equipment by the due date as, with limited stock, overdue equipment can affect other users' bookings.
  • To Edit your booking within the active loan period go to 'My Account' highlight the booking and click on 'Edit Booking'. You can change the duration of the loan up to the maximum loan period allowed for the item indicated in the listing.
  • To Renew your equipment go to 'My Account', Click on the relevant booking reference number and then click 'Renew Booking'. Select the item/s to be renewed and click on the renew button.
  • Renewals can only be made within the last 5 days of the loan period.
  • Renewals are for 14 days at a time. You can renew up to 4 times giving a maximum of 8 weeks over and above the initial booking.
  • Renewals are not available for DAS Lab bookings.
  • Once an AV loan has expired you can not edit or renew the item and it must be returned to the HASAV store.
  • Edits and Renewals can only be extended if the equipment is available and has not already been booked by another user.
